Background
MIDTAP was established in 1997 as the first investment company in Egypt to carry out infrastructure projects and the construction of storage tanks, crude pipelines, petroleum products and coke loading facilities using Build, Lease and Transfer (BLT) system. This system gives the government the ability to construct great projects without burdening itself with investment liabilities and pushes the development wheel to its utmost. This is one of the policies, which were adapted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Wealth. One of MIDTAP's facilities is the jetty at the Dekheela Port in Alexandria, which is used to export high quality petroleum products and coke, thus saving the government from investment liabilities. MIDTAP is an Egyptian shareholding company established under the investment law (8 / 1997) for free zone in Alexandria.
Solution
At its head office in Cairo, Egypt MIDTAP Management required a Remote Surveillance System and recording to monitor and control its main port and jetty area in Dekheela. ECSYS installed central control room at MIDTAP central location in Cairo with flexible split views on 2 LED screens along with two full control boards, 2 client stations and software to monitor the remote surveillance units that include:

Speed Dome Network Cameras with 360 degrees PTZ, 35x zoom and Day & Night Image Sensors with IR Capabilities to monitor the Jetty Area, Product Tanks and Entrance Streets. The Cameras monitor more than 800 meters ahead with superb quality and outstanding object details and exposure.
• VIVOTEK IP 7361
2MP Day & Night in 1600X 1200 resolution to monitor the Coal Area, Car Parking and Control Center Entrance. With vari-focal lens and unique 1/3.2" CMOS sensor their unique precise Iris Control the cameras meet the challenges of harsh outdoor environment of high temperature, humidity and dust delivering higher contrast, clarity, resolution and better depth of field in HDTV Resolution.
Achievements
QNAP Viostor VS Pro 8-CH Network Video Recorder (NVR) with Storage Capacity that allows recording from all camera channels continuously 24/7 for one month. The System produces on motion email notifications to Security Administrators on predefined motion detection areas and according to the required time schedule with pre/post motion capturing. The server provides the quick backup feature into Portable HD Units through its USB Interface and is linked to FTP server to allow for fast retrieval of recorded data.
